Prenatal Massage NYC

Pregnancy is a time of change physically, emotionally and spiritually. Allow us to support you through transitioning into motherhood. Are you experiencing tension in your neck, collapsing of the ribcage and shoulders, achy wrists or ankles, lower back or hip pain? Or simply need a quite place for nurturing touch?

What’s good for Mom is good for baby especially during gestation 🙂 Bring the nervous system to a deep relaxed state; reduce muscle pain and discomforts; and enhance circulation of blood and lymph flow. Optimal circulation enhances uterine blood supply for the health of your baby. This massage provides focused individualized attention to your physical and emotional needs. Also, studies show the use of Prenatal Massage throughout pregnancy may result in decreased postpartum depression.

Birth Doula Support

With a doula on your team, you get to trust your body, trust the process of birth, and feel confident in the choices you’ll make along the way. You can have a calm, safe, and empowering birth—feeling deeply respected and cared for.

Our Doula Partnership Approach: We aim to support you in having as calm and empowering a birth experience as possible where you can feel confident and safe enough to let go. We spend generous amounts of time prenatally helping you and your partner understand what to expect, how to prepare yourselves, and the ways in which even the decisions you make ahead of time can impact your birth experience. We have absolutely no agenda for your birth and are completely committed to supporting all birth desires and pain coping strategies. Most importantly, we want you and your partner to feel confident in your own birth choices and to walk away from this pivotal life experience feeling deeply respected and cared for.

Doula Services Include:
• Access to two doulas via unlimited phone, text and email support from the point of hire through birth.
• Two in-person prenatal visits in your home (one from each of us) to get to know you and discuss your birth desires, expectations, preferences and feelings. We’ll clarify our roles, prepare you with questions for your care providers, and cover relaxation and comfort techniques, and more.
• Being on call from 37-42 weeks. You will receive our on-call calendar, and the doula who is on-call when your labor starts will attend your birth. Since we back each other up, you will have the advantage of knowing both of us regardless of who can attend. If you are a returning client, we will do everything in our power to have you be with your original doula.
• Continuous emotional, physical and informational support during your birth including massage as desired. We will remain up to 2 hours postpartum until your family is ready to bond privately.
• One in person postpartum visit with the doula who attended your birth, helping you to process the birth and establish successful breastfeeding.
